Duplicate Elements Brought into Revit after Geometry Matching Merge
We uploaded a model from Revit to Konstru. Merged with an Etabs model by geometry and then downloaded the model from Konstru into Revit with a filter that was suppose to only edit the beam sizes, nothing else. For the merge we disabled updating geometry and did not include "new elements".
The result was in 10% of the locations duplicate members exist. Could this be for one of the following reasons:
1. The level names don't match in Revit and Etabs
2. The model is a central file and potentially the user downloading the model didn't have "ownership" of those elements to change them?
3. Other Reasons?

Hi Timon,
We already worked with your colleague, but weren't able to replicate this issue anymore. So I am not sure what led to the duplication of some of the members.
But I wanted to answer your questions:
(1) If you do a comparison between two models by Geometry, and not by ID, levels are compared based on their Height value, and not based on their names.
(2) We have not come across any issues with limited model ownership yet. My assumption is that the Revit API would simply not modify an element, if the user is not allowed to alter it. I doubt that it would create a new element in this case, but I am not 100% sure.
cheers,
Jonatan
