When comparing or merging Konstru models, Konstru offers the option to match elements by Geometry instead of ID. This is only necessary if your models do not contain any matching IDs. If your Konstru Models somehow originated from a single model there will always be matching IDs, even if Konstru IDs are different, Konstru still knows about every element's authoring tool ID and uses them to match elements. But there are cases with no matching IDs at all. In this case Models can be matched by Geometry:
Simply uncheck Identify by ID and Geometry will be checked. Konstru now compares all elements by geometry and matches them if their points fall into the geometry tolerances above. In this example 150 mm in each dimension. Konstru will match elements by their base geometry:
- Line based elements need to match by start end endpoint.
- Arc based elements need to match by all 3 points.
- Spline based need to match by all control points.
If an element falls with all of its points into the tolerance radius Konstru will consider it matching:
