ETABS automatically flips frames (start and end points) per end point coordinates: The start point is smaller in respective axis but only if the member is parallel to x, y or z axis. the z axis is the governing axis for example when x and y values are negative values. so the lower z value is the start point. similarly if the z value is the same for both ends, the X axis is the governing axis for y values. so the lower x value is the start point.
Konstru floors are horizontal ETABS areas, outline based at the top, openings are added as additional opening areas. Floor justification can only be "top". ETABS Floor geometries cannot be updated from Konstru.
Konstru groups are ETABS groups.
Groups have no GUID in ETABS so Konstru uses names as unique ids. If a group is renamed Konstru shows one deleted group and one new group for the next upload instead of a modified group.
Load Case (beta)
Konstru loadcases are ETABS loadcases.
Konstru for ETABS 2015 cannot set Modal cases for ModalEigen and ModalRitz.
Konstru for ETABS 2016 cannot set Modal Case sub type ModalRitz.
Konstru for ETABS doe not support buckling load types. It only supports linear static and nonlinear static load cases.
Restraints are automatically created by ETABS at the bottom end points.
If the all connected members are deleted, restraints are automatically deleted as well. We recommend to change Joints to special Joints.
Custom sections in regular shapes (I,C,W,Rectangular etc) are supported. Custom profiles can be created using the Section Designer during download. Irregular shapes are not supported.
Structural Profiles (Wall or Floor layers)
Structural Profiles are automatically created on download from Konstru.
